A cat haiku

In honor of a new blog I found, Egan's Poetry Corner, I will share a haiku my wife and I wrote for one of our cats. The cat wore a bell and had a nasty habit of slashing at my bare feet from under the bed. His name was Trash.
Hear the bell of death.
Jingle, jingle, jingle...OW!
Cat, I'll beat your ass.

That was friggin hysterical. Well done.
great job!
Thanks, guys. Trash actually helped me write this one. I was coming up with the first part in the bedroom and he got me good right after the 3rd "jingle."
It was only later I realized the syllables matched up correctly.

That was awesome! I think Trash and I would get along great.
Cat related poem from the old days:
there's a kitty on the road
car goes vroom
kitty looks up
car hits kitty
kitty looks flat
lumpy
gutless
dead
there is a kitty on the road.

Thank you. I'll be here all week.

egan: Thanks, I loved the "needing" double entendre on your site (kneading/needing).
steff: so...you're a dog person then? : )

That was Trash's fate, BTW. He was too smart to just get run over, but he had a weakness for hunting birds and small creatures and he wouldn't pay attention to the road while in the midst of a chase.
The squirrels thought it was a hoot.
