Don't Sit So Close, It's Bad For Your Eyes
That's what we would hear as kids if any of us got within 3 feet of the living room television. I'm sure mom meant well. There's no way she could have foreseen me spending my adult life 18 inches away from 2 computer screens and an NTSC monitor for 10 hours a day.
Now if Jodi and I have kids, should I take the opposite approach?
(Get closer to that screen, Bobby! Don't look away! You've only been at it 5 hours! You'll never get anywhere in life if you can't look at a screen for more than 5 measly hours!)

I'd tried commenting to your hurricane post the other day, but it wasn't working, and I can't remember what I wanted to say.
As for kids and their tellies, back THEN televisions gave off radiation.
Remember the hissing and crackling you'd get if you ran your hand over the screen after it'd been on for hours?
OH, the good old days.
Besides, lots of people die every year from lying down on the floor and knocking the tv accidently or something with their foot, and they get squooshed.
So, you know, a couple of the proper reasons, but I think a 4 foot radius is adequate. Heh.
:)
It's strange you don't have more readers commenting. You give good comments from what I've seen. HMM.
Silly people, lurking is for dorks.
Help, I've fallen and I can't get up!
Yeah! TVs were spooky back then.
I'm a newbie to blogging. I'm not sure how many poeple even know about this page yet. It is a rush to get some feedback though, so THANKS.
